Alan has over 30 years experience as an event owner, planner and organiser. He believes that what gets you through endless regulation, poor weather and difficult incidents are great people and your ability to motivate them.
He is chair of Bournemouth’s late night economy trade group, sits on the board of Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District and BCP’s strategic alcohol group.
He is the Commercial Manager for the Students Union at Bournemouth University, owns Vdub at the Pub Festival and is a key member of the Bournemouth 7s Festival Event Team.
Chair
Craig is Managing Partner of event management consultancy, Project 30 with a wide variety of experience delivering some of the UK's favourite events.
He is a regular contributor to industry collaboration groups, press, campaigns and a judge for some of the UK’s highest profile event awards.
Alongside this, Craig is a Trustee of sporting charity, The Steve Bernard Foundation and Ambassador for mental health charity, Dorset Mind and former Chair of the Destination Management Board for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Garry has been working within the event sector for over 25 years running different types of businesses and ultimately starting his own business supplying security fencing and barriers to external events.
He started Temporary Fencing Ltd in 2005 and over the years spent more of his time working in London working alongside Capital Barriers Ltd who specialized in the Film premier and theatre sector and a merger of the two companies was the perfect synergy.
During this time Garry has been elected on to the Event Hire Association board as an ambassador for the events sector to promote and help to steer the association for the good of the industry.
Vice Chair
Gavin has over 27 years’ experience as a senior executive within the live events, music & entertainment industries.
Gavin has worked with a range of world-renowned artists and companies covering Artist, Tour, Stage Management, Promotion, Development, Marketing, Live Events & Live Film Production to General Manager for one of the largest independent music & film labels in the UK.
Gavin has also toured the world extensively, with a diverse range of artists & crew under his responsibility. He has also been the stage director at notable venues such as Millennium Dome & Wembley Arena. Gavin currently runs the Event Advice Agency.
Secretary
Nicole is a highly accomplished and results-oriented Freelance Event Professional - Project Manager with 25+ years’ experience and a proven track record in the industry.
Previously, Nicole was the Senior Event Manager at the well-established experiential communication agency, Blueprint Partners where she was instrumental in securing key business with the VW Group, leading the pitch team and managing the account for 5+ years.
Nicole has unrivalled event management expertise in the UK and overseas across a wide range of events, from communication led conferences with complex messaging to group travel incentives, product launches, press events, roadshows, driving and sporting experiences.
Louise has 30 years’ experience working in the world of corporate events after starting her working career at the Bournemouth International Centre organising conferences.
In 2002 she created Eventscape, an Event Management Company, which has worked alongside multinational Corporate Clients, Unions, Party Political organisations, Associations, Councils and the NHS for the last 18 years.
Eventscape also specialises in luxury hospitality events on Sunseeker Powerboats throughout the season and for spectating during Bournemouth Air Festival and Cowes Week.
Paul is an events man through and through. From intricate planning to onsite delivery his expertise and manner have seen him achieve rapid success in the industry.
After graduating from Bournemouth University, Paul rapidly progressed through the ranks at Bournemouth 7s Festival, being promoted to Managing Director in November 2022. In 2019, Paul was recognised as a future events industry leader in the Access All Areas 30 Under 30 programme.
Paul has a vast array of expertise gained from managing events of all types and sizes. Through all of his events, his approach to dealing with people and positive outlook remain steadfast.
Adam 'Ski' Hart has been an active member of the Dorset live music scene since the late 80s guesting in Hoedown at Hanks and being a member of Pronghorn for a decade. In work, Ski is Strategy/Project Manager working in the Information Management sector.
Ski is currently the manager and performer in the local hoedown outfit The Jimmy Hillbillies and promotes a monthly music night at Chaplins, The Cellar Bar called The SHINDIG.
The Jimmy Hillbillies play many of the local live music venues and festivals in Dorset and it is through this interest and passion in helping to develop a stronger collaboration amongst the artists, venues and event crews has grown, a group that has such a positive impact on the region.
Tor Byrnes has worked as a freelance events professional in numerous capacities for over 12 years across the UK and Europe at many green field festivals. A strong advocate for culture in the region, inclusivity and most of all celebrating our local creative talent in our beautiful BCP home, her latest role is Creative Director of BCP's very own Arts by the Sea Festival.
She's the CEO of We Broke Free, an independent events and promotions company, as well as being an acclaimed DJ (so you may know her stage name Tor Da Force.) An original member of the all-female collective FRAU DJs, she fights for equality and diversity within the sector and especially on the stage. Her passion for up and coming music and underground movements has seen her run the events at 60 Million Postcards for the past 10 years. She also represents the South West for Independent Venue Week, shining a light on grassroots music venues.
